Kagome's POV
I'm almost there. It's a little blurry because I've been awake for hours fighting some demon guy. I'm running as fast as posible. Still, I try to go faster. But as I start to run faster, the lake starts to move further away. I'm reaching out for it.
Though it's getting further and further away...my legs are wet. I look down and there's the water. When I try to touch it, I fall over. I stare at the sky, trying to get up. Its no use. It doesn't matter though.
Inuyasha has been gone for days. He said he'd be back within a few hours when he left. The fear of him dying gave me goosebumps. Kikyo wasn't alive. Of all the times that I wished she was dead, it had to be this time. I turned my head to see the demon running towards me. He's not getting any closer though. Though he doesn't seem close, he bites into something. It doesn't take long for me to realize its my arm.
The blood is gushing out as he throws my into the air. I can't make a sound. Earlier, his poison must've gotton into me. Cause when I land, I feel nothing. I'm paralyzed and numb all over.
"Kagome!" I heard someone scream. I can do nothing to respond. "Kirara, go!" I suddenly know its Sango. How did she find me? Right when the demon is about to get me again, Kirara pulls me away, flying into the air. The wind is cold on my drenched body. I feel like passing out from being so high up. It wasn't like I had never been in the air. I was just usually on Kirara's back. Kohaku was visiting for a while so Sango was spending time with Kirara.
Something suddenly catches my eye. Something red is floating in the water. I also see a necklace like Inuyasha's. A flash of energy goes through me as I pull my sleave out of Kirara's mouth.
I quickly land in the water. I gasp for breath as I land. The deeper waters are always colder. Though I'm still a bit paralyzed, I slowly make my way to the red cloth and necklace. It turned out that it was Inuyasha's clothing and his nacklace. But where was Inuyasha? I stared at the items in my hands. The thought of him possibly being alive barely crossed my mind.
I felt myself being lifted again. I didn't let go of the clothes or necklace.
